Would Gerald Scarfe be an influence on your style by any chance? There's just so many touches of his The Wall/Yes Minister stuff in this and so much else in your gallery...

And Happy Birthday, welcome to being ancient.

Not really. I love Scarfe's work but he had a deft touch with caricature that i could never achieve. My stuff comes more from Futura 2000 and lots and lots of comics as a child.

But the messiness is something i aim for. More messy more better.

Cool, the same Futura 2000 as appeared on that Clash song?

I loved the Scarfe stuff when I was growing up (part of the reason I was an obsessive Yes Minister fan), but have never seen much of the Futura 2000 stuff, excepting, of course, rip-offs on Dance music CD sleeves or posters (after I became alienated from the dance scene and strayed off to the sub-pop market with the release of Sub-Pop 200, and with it came the art of Charles Burns).

I did, briefly, flirt with the graffitti style in the late 1990s, after a trip to Amsterdam, where I was impressed by the authorised art walls alongside the railway lines, but all the way through school I'd teachers telling me to tidy up my style. I've ended up sitting in a middle stage.
